All is well in this guys world. Nice warm home, lots of kids, meals waiting for him and a beautiful little 5 yr old asking, "Can we keep him forever?!!!?!!!" with her eyes big and wide.

Well, what can I say besides.....our work here seems complete!!

New moms and munchkins will have photos soon.
My hubby is calling him Stars and Stripes because that is what he has on his face......the munchkins have other ideas I'm sure!!

I want to express my heartfilled gratitude for all of you that have helped to make this possible. Thank you from the bottom of "Stars and Stripes" unflappable, sweet, happy heart. (Mine too!!)

Now that is a happy conclusion to a frightening tale!

How heartwarming.

You guys should send a press release to the local paper; this is the kind of good news people can really warm up to in these uncertain financial times. No, really!

A place to list any breed of horse that needs a new home, currently owned by a 501(c)3 rescue, or is "at risk."
At Risk includes:
1. A horse who has been neglected.
2. A horse that will go to public auction if a new home isn't found soon.
3. A horse whose owner can not take care of it anymore.

I opened my frount door when I seen lights comming up the driveway & all I heard was "HE'S HERE, THE NEW HORSE IS HERE".
He was just great with the little ones as he was brushed as he stood very quietly in the cross ties. with 6 adults & 4 rugrats in my small barn. He needs Wt. put on & some scrapes cleaned up , But for now he has a home with a dry bed & food. Hope to post pic
soon. Thanks John for the ride down from Me.

He now has a name!!!! The kids agreed on Trace. .

Due to the lack of meat on his bones the girls will not be riding him too soon. My 5 year old niece got on him bareback yesterday and he was a little timid at first but was fine. This boy knows how to WHOA!!!! Taralyn just sat up and softly said whoa and almost went over his head!!!! He must have had some great training at some point. We have sent pictures to Pat because we could get them to post.

He also went out with a few of the boys yesterday and enjoyed hanging out. I'll call the dentist Monday to check out the teeth and give me an age. Talk to everyone soon

Thumbs up

Just want to take an end of the year thanks to my friend, Tina, for rescuing a wonderful 2 yr.old gelding from a breeder....his only "bad" was he was too sensible....not "fiery" enough EVERY time he came out of the stall....so was deemed not a good enough show prospect.

Very pretty colt w/ a great personality, he now has a wonderful home and is being geared toward dressage. He is the clown of the barn and everyone loves him....a good ambassador for the breed as most people in the boarding stable have never seen a Saddlebred. Thanks Tina!!
Love,
Callie
