Mazda 3 hatchback?

Anyone have any input? My adult daughter totaled her Pathfinder and is looking for a vehicle. She no longer needs an SUV. I have researched for her and see that the dealers rave (of course) but who knows what the real story is. She is looking for a car that is 2009 or newer and loves the hatchback.
Appreciate anything you have to tell us....
