Seeing improvements?

For all my trot buddies whom I haven't spoken to in a while...

I took a break from riding over the winter. Fred was diagnosed with a navicular cyst in his RF around January and we started treating him. He is doing very well and is rarely gimpy. I started back up riding (actually taking hunt lessons) in February. I still have much to work on but we have improved a bunch. My confidence is getting much better, my riding is getting more consistent and steady, and Fred and I are much more comfortable together!

So, I had a lesson today and my mom came to tape it. I figured I would share. I know these forums aren't too busy, so I don't expect tons of responses, but there are a few people on here that have been great help with Fred in the past so I thought maybe they would like to see our progress!

You probably don't remember my riding from before, LOL, but I promise it's gotten much better. I don't need any critique/advice, as my trainer knows what I need to work on and everything isn't expected to be perfect! But, I have an awessssssome trainer! I am very thankful.

Hope you guys are doing well.

He looks like he's made progress but I can't tell. It is SO hard to watch. All the cuts of just a few steps of each gait here and there and the slow mo and the effects make me dizzy; there's just too many of them too close together. I know you're trying to be artistic and I appreciate that, but it doesn't work for me when I'm trying to see a horse in action.

Do you have something uncut where I can actually see your horse work a few times all the way around the ring uncensored, with complete transitions so I can compliment you on him?

I understand, trust me! I always post raw videos... This time, my lesson was taped as one big video file, so I have to get it cut up before I can upload it. I should have it up tonight to ost.

What program are you using to edit your videos? I've watched a couple and it looks like you put a lot of work into them!

Cute horse too

Thank you! I use Sony Vegas HD 10. It's definitely a hobby of mine; It's so much fun. I thought about making horse sale videos and such as a side-job. Thanks!!

I love Vegas! It's so easy to use. I use that and Premiere Pro. You're very creative!

Can't wait to see the longer video! He looks like he's coming along!
