Another Saddlebred Needs Help in GA

I'm posting this because I simply cannot take another horse right now, but this horse needs help. This lady advertised another Saddlebred for $300 and he's been sold already but she wants $250 for this mare. I don't know her personally but I live 5 minutes from her and can stall/pasture the horse temporarily at no charge for anyone who wants to get her. She's thin, the other one was thin, and it's obvious this mare needs a friend to help her out.

This is so sad to me - I'm as happy as anyone to see the stallion placed and how everyone pulled together. So this mare isn't worth the effort? I think there's a chance she may be registerable as the owner apparently knows her birthdate? I called and left a message but have not heard back. The picture shows a mare that definitely looks full Saddlebred, she's only 10 years old and going for $250 or less if you care to make an offer. I am feeding 20 horses right now and we simply CANNOT afford to feed another one right now. Surely someone out there has a heart and can help this mare?

Susan, I can pledge 50.00 towards her purchase price if we can find someone that can take her. It's bad all the way around within the horse industry, but you are right, this mare does not need to fall through the cracks either.
So, now we only need 10 @ $20.00 or 20 @ $10.00 or whatever you can spare.
Guys, we can do this!!

Anke - thank you - we may not need the full $250 since she states she will take offers. I will try to call again today if I don't hear back from her and find out if there is a chance she can be registered. I know it's not possible to save every Saddlebred but when you price a Saddlebred this incredibly low, and given the really redneck type people in my neck of the woods, there's no telling where she will end up. The one good thing is that the local Pony Express Auction here in my area closed it's doors a few months ago so if they try and take her to an auction, they're going to have to go a good ways.

My husband and I will pledge $25 and I'm sorry we can't do more.

I'll pledge $50 too.

I don't know where to look for a home but she is such a pretty mare there has to be someone that can use her.

I didn't see this until now, Susan let me know when you talk to her what her bottom price is and any info you find...sure would be great if she did have papers or some sort of past history to go on!
