I haven't posted on here in quite a long time besides a few small posts on large threads... so I tend to go unnoticed.

I just wanted to update all of you whom I have talked to in the past. I no longer own Fred! He is now retired and owned by my BO/trainer. He has a happy life and I get to see him every time I go out to the barn.

In September, I got a new horse and she officially became mine through ASHA on Sep 29th, 2011. Her name is "Diva"... registered name is I'm Nora Jones. She is out of New York Royal and Alone Again. She's 4 years old.

I love her.

She was shown/trained saddleseat and shown in Park Pleasure and Show Pleasure. I bought her as a Country Pleasure prospect and plan to mainly show her hunt and then do CP Saddleseat eventually on the side.

She still is not fully "hunter" yet but she has taken to it rather quickly. She really seems to enjoy her new job. It suits her very well. I showed her once at the end of the season... she had only been going huntseat for a few weeks but I just wanted to get show experience with her before next season. She was fantastic. I'm excited to show her next year.

So, MEET DIVA:

Like I said, she's not fully trained for hunt yet. We were just getting show experience. So no negative critique or anything, please.

Hope everyone is doing well!

She's lovely and I love the second picture. You should put it on the ASHA web site queue.

Thanks! I should. I used to put pics of fred and I up there a lot but I haven't in a while. :)

Thank you! She's a great girl. She's a hard worker and is always trying to think for me to do what I need her to. Much more forward than Fred... still taking some time to get used to!

Yes, he is very happy! He loves it. He has his own herd that he takes care of and he thinks it's the coolest thing ever. He gives some lessons to the little ones and it's amazing how much he enjoys it.

Yes! We will be! She will be something special. Thank you!

Just for anyone who wants to see me riding her.
Please excuse us. We were playing around.

Why are you so deprecating? It's like you're waiting for someone to find fault with her. She's cute, you're enjoying her, just go with it!

:bored: Eeeek! Honestly? I haven't been on here a lot because I feel like there are some people who would just try to find fault in people's horses. Especially the huntseat horses. I haven't seen it lately but I've seen it years ago. But I like this forum (since it's ASB-related) so I wanted to share. Thank you, though!

Congratulations on your new horse. It appears that you and Diva are going to have a grand time together. Best of luck! And congratulations to Fred for being provided a great (at least semi) retirement!

I think a lot of the time that's because people ask for it. I know I have asked for critiques, that's how we get better!

Besides enjoying the video - I believe it is the OP's, I thought you would all appreciate my source for the video...a sport horse trainer out here.
