View Full Version : 3000 miles away looking for a place to ride
02-06-2008, 04:03 PM
I have been riding Saddlebreds since i was 10 years old and have a slight addiction to them. I moved to Northern Virginia from Oregon in the Fall of last year to go to College and I am, as I feared without a place to ride. I have made it this far only riding while home on breaks but for me, that is just not enough. So here I am looking for a place to ride, I am willing to travel an hour or two, I just need to be around horses! Thanks!

The links don't have all the stables...just the ones that have websites so you might have better luck with the stable search. Just go to the main www.saddlebred.com page and click in the upper left beside of "Saddlebred Stables/Farms" and enter your Zip Code. You'll be able to see approx how far they are from you.

Been there...lived in Alexandria, VA for 18 months while my horse stayed in Connecticut. I rode twice a month at Dale Sloat Stables, it was 2 hours from Alexandria, right now I-95. Sue is a great instructor. Good luck!
