Some photo's from the Equine expo breed booth that I organised last Saturday. It was a great day with plenty of interest in the breed, both the Saddlebred and Georgian Grande.

ok at the risk of sounding silly... What is a Georgian Grande?

A Georgian Grande is a Saddlebred crossed with a clydesdale, friesian ,percheron, draft, cob etc. The breed/type was started in the USA in the 1970's and there is a registry for them in the US.

In Australia this cross is very popular as they make great harness horses and compete in several divisions.

Thats cool! I always wanted a friesian and i thought one day i might breed a saddlbred with one (doubtful, i'd rather just take rescues since i don't really show) but i didn't realize they could be registered... I bet they are gorgeous!

The stand looks fantastic and I just love the new banners! Maybe we can offer a cheap one for purchase by breeders and owners, to put on their float etc if they want? I'm not sure how much they cost - just a thought!

It's great to see the breed display and looking forward to hearing all about it :)

We are in the process of ordering another saddlebred banner for you guys to keep over in WA and one will be kept in NSW and the other up here in Qld and we will keep the Georgian Grande banner up here too as we have classes for them.
