Be sure to get a Superior Sales 2010 catalog which will be available in early November by mail as well as online at www.superiorhorsesales.com. Entries still arriving--tack sale looks great--and happy to host the 2010 National Hackney Sale for the American Hackney Horse Society. Hotel blocks now available.

The printed catalog for The Fall Sale 2010 will go to press this week and be available by mail, at the American Royal and on the web site sometime next week. After that entries will be printed in the supplemental distributed at the sale and online. It looks to have lots of interesting entries.

Keep checking the Superior Sales online catalog for additional entries, videos, photos, and information. The printed version is headed out in the mail first class. The web page also has hotel information, directions, and telephone numbers. As always, we welcome telephone bids. The tack sale looks fantastic and are still accepting entries. www.superiorhorsesales.com.

Is there anyone down at the sale that would be willing to post prices? I wish it had a video feed!

Check out two new entries from Landmark Farm--two wonderful gaited gelding with great show records. Both at www.superiorhorsesales.com with videos! Phone bids should be directed to 314/605-4622 one hour before sale session.
Also Light Farm ponies in so call for information. It looks to be a great day.

Jubilee, I'm going to be a little more direct than the two people ahead of me. None of us can tell if its going to LOOK like a great day because there is no live feed available, is there? We'd really like one, we'd like to be able to see the horses, like the addis auctions or tattersall's. Will that be available next year?

I'm not seeing any live feed for this sale being offered anywhere either...if there is would love to know! :) Does anyone have prices from last night's sale? I was sorta thinking about calling in a bid but wanted to know a little how much some of the others were going for.

I just heard that Total Trust HIP # 110 sold for $2400. No nothing more about the horse.

I have heard great things about the quality of the Superior Sale and I think it would generate a large online audience if offered. The market for live feed of major events seems to be growing each time it is offered. I know I gather a lot of information from the live feeds of shows and sales and it is a great resource for myself and my "horse" colleagues. It has helped me become much better educated about the market. I bought my current horse at Spring Tattersalls and I was motivated to go and buy because of the live video feeds.

Overall what I heard over the loud speaker while working was pretty disapointing. A few went for good money.

Quite a few of them went for good money. I heard one went for around $4,900 and another for $20,000.

Crescendo sold for either $1,600 or $1,900. I can't remember which, but you get the idea. ;)

Can someone tell me why there were many people willing to post prices from the Tattersall's Sale along with so much interest, but virtually nothing regarding the outcome of the Superior Sale? Was it a. No-one interested enough to record and post, b. Embarassingly low prices and large percentages of no-sales, or c. Part of a secret, undercover CIA program to cover up prices in the horse market LOL! Seriously though, I follow trends and prices in the industry, and was curious. Thanks for any info.

And it was geared more toward Arabian people - therefore ASB peeps probably weren't there in droves for someone to do it like they used to before live feed at Tat's.

I honestly don't think the sale was geared more towards Arabian people. There were no Arabians in the sale whatsoever and so marketing or promotions of the breed. There was, however, marketing in the Saddlebred & Hackney industry. There were a number of BNT present at the sale.

But in the end, I would say that there was a lack of online video and lack of interest to record prices. I would have done it, but I had to work.. like most of the people that attended the sale.

My apologies - I was confusing this one with the Arab sale that gets put on during the year, especially since there was so little discussion of who was in the sale. I do agree that we've all grown to like the live feed.

No problem at all! I really wish there would have been more discussion here on the sale. Alot of a nice horses went through and people had the money to buy horses. The highest priced horse was one of Tommy Richardson's for $30k.

Does Superior Sales transfer the horses who are sold through the ring to their new owners? Tsalls, of course, does. However, lower class sales, like New Holland, and Mel's, do not. Where does Superior fall in this scheme?

Anyone know for sure?
