This is a cross post... this lady is looking for transport for a horse from Minnesota to Colorado. She got a quote of $600... does anyone have any other ideas? She can give this horse a good home (seems to have a great deal on board..) but the transportation fees are stopping the deal.
<<The mare in the photo is "Eve". She is 8 yrs old, and is the dam of the Saddlebred that I recently acquired for dressage and jumping. Eve has been offered to me free of charge. Unfortunately, due to having done dog rescue for the last 9 yearsand still running a dog sanctuary/hospice, I don't have enough funds for the transport quote of $600. Rescue is truly the toughest work one ever pays to do LOL. Donations have always been miminal, but since the ecomony tanked, they are close to non-existent. Perhaps selfishly, after 9 years of being on-call 24/7 without a day off and rescuing 750+ dogs, I would love to have this mare.
The cheapest transportation quote from Minnesota to Colorado is $600 (on up to $1190). Does anyone know of a reliable transport company who might be less expensive or of a private party who is trailering west and might be willing to bring a horse along for a fee? >>
