do you breed? I am sooo claiming pregnancy brain here, because for the life of me I have no clue, even though I have bred horses before. Ha. My husband asked me, because we are thinking about breeding one of our mares.

very roughtly, a month AFTER you would want the foal to be born the following year:
April for a March foal, etc.
A lot depends on whether you plan to show the foal as a weanling, what your weather is like, how quick your mare is to catch in foal, etc. etc.
Good luck on your project and congrats to yourself if I am reading your post right and you are personally currently expecting!

You need to take into consideration that according to ASHA your foal will be considered a year old on January 1st. Mares normally start to cycle in the spring.
