Hello! I wanted to say hi and introduce myself a bit, and this seems like a reasonable place to do so. Last year I bought Clicquot, a Saddlebred mare with a fair bit of dressage training. I am an amateur dressage rider who had three back surgeries as a teenager (scoliosis) and was shopping for a mount that was smooth enough for my sore back yet expressive enough for dressage. Clicquot fit the bill, and I am enjoying learning about the breed. I learned to ride on Arabians, then owned a few Morgans, so I have a soft spot for sensitive, forward, quirky horses.

I have spent this summer healing a broken arm (NOT from one of my horses, but from riding on vacation lol) so I haven't been able to ride or show. Hopefully this forum will help solve my need for a horsey fix! I look forward to reading about your experiences. :)

Welcome my fellow Connecticut resident!!!! Well, there is certainly a great deal to read up on to keep you very busy not only for hours..........but weeks!!!

So happy to hear that you are a ASB owner and doing dressage!!!! While I have always loved watching dressage, I do the saddleseat thing.

Just wanted to send a warm welcome and I'm glad to see another Northeastern poster!!!!

I have heard of Cliquot :)

Glad to see you on the forum. I hope your arm heals soon and you are able to resume your 'seat with a better view' back on your mare.

Welcome!
Mary
