Standardbreds and saddleseat?

Could a standardbred be trained and showed saddleseat for like open shows?

You would be surprised at the various breeds that have/can be trained and shown saddle seat in open shows. Winning in saddle seat with a less usual breed is harder.

Be sure that the particular Standardbred you are interested in will trot; some are too pacey...and getting a canter may be frustrating.
