Tail Brace Application, Type and Size???

Looking for instruction on putting on a tail brace....Also on how to determine the right size and type of brace.............Did a search,but didn't find anything.....Thanks for any help!!!!

It varies from horse to horse...and best shown in person. Do you have someone that could teach you, hands on?

I actually have two videos that I took of a brace being put on.(I have to get around to downloading them) One of my horse and one of another. Each horse usually has their own brace. I bought mine from World Champion and it has been shaped, rebent, shaped, rebent in a vice and shaped again to fit him right! I still wish it fit him more snug. People have different ways of tying the shoestrings in and so but it's all basically the same. Just takes two people and practice. I still get frustrated when doing it sometimes.

I agree that it would be best if someone could help you pick out and fit a brace properly. Where are you located? We can hopefully find someone nearby that could help you.

Yep, totally is something you can only learn in person, and you need help from someone who has a large inventory of braces to try. We probably have two dozen or so in the barn and still occasionally have to order something special or do some major re-shaping. there are no generalities, what worked for one horse will totally not work for another horse that seems to be the same size and conformation.
