Snaffle Bits in Parade?

Hi, can anyone tell me if I can use a snaffle on an American Saddlebred in an Open Parade Class (horse is 4 year old gelding, he has been shown with a double bridle, and it would be his first western class). The rules in the ASB parade section don't mention anything about bits at all!

If you are showing Open Parade (meaning open to all breeds), you need to check the Parade section rules with USEF. They are slightly different. However, there are no bit specifications there, either - so you should be fine. Just be aware that most will be looking for a fancy silver bit to go with the rig.
