Did anyone see the 4 page article in Louisville magazine? There are photos of Undulata in the house, in the barn, and on the grounds. I think Hoppy says the word Saddlebred at least eight times. Not bad for a magazine issue devoted to the derby for the American Saddlebred to get 4 pages. Thanks Hoppy!

I have not seen anything here about the water towers in Shelby County that are to be painted with ASB pictures and portaits. They can be seen for miles in all directions with our American Saddlebred horses all over them. GREAT IDEA!!! I will look for more info.

Lucky - I believe that info was on trot.me. When we migrated to this forum none of the content or posts from there could come over.

Trot.me was quite awhile ago, I think??? I don't remember using that one recently. Hoppy was in the April 2009, KY Derby issue of Louisville Magazine. The painting of the water towers has begun. Whether or not the towers were discussed a year ago, they are beginning to take shape. Just think how many Folks can see our beautiful horses. Woo Hoo!!!

We weren't live until November 2007. I have an announcement regarding the towers in email that pre-dates that time period, which is why I thought trot.me. Wish the water tower was high enough to see in CO or CA, eh?

I would love to see a link to the article- it is always terrific when our horses get some press! Undulata is indeed a gorgeous place- and I would love to hear more about what Hoppy had to share about our fabulous breed.

Just think- if Hoppy used the word "Saddlebred" eight times- there must be many more words where those came from!;)

This makes me very happy. I'd like to think I know Hoppy quite well after living at Undulata for a total of 8 weeks over the last two summers, bought my gaited horse from him, and ride with his brother Jim out here in CA. It's an amazing place with awesome horses and I really wish I was going back this summer, but alas, I've got other plans...
I'd love to have a chance to read this article. Are there any online copies?

FYI, the link takes you to the current magazine, which only has 70 some odd pages. So, click the link to past issues and select April, and you should be able to find it.

Even though they are "money pits" I have always wanted to restore a beautiful old home. Hoppy and Jane did a beautiful job.

Mr. Bennett,

The article about you, your home and the American Saddlebred is wonderful. Your home is breath taking.

Great article and great MARKETING...

I also would like to say that I recently visited my Mother at he assisted living facility here in Louisville and I saw a van paitned w/American Saddlebred on it in red white & blue colors and photos and it also said 'Shelbyville, Kentucky Saddlebred Capital of the World' . I don't know who was driving it but it had official Kentucky license tags.
