White Lace & Promises and Big Bend Bellringer

My friend Deborah asked me to post for her here for all the people that may have known her horses White Lace & Promises (Saddlebred mare) and Big Bend Bellringer (Morgan gelding) over the years. Both were put down Monday due to quality of life issues, both had lived many wonderful years with Deborah and she has many, many wonderul memories I am sure because of them.

Could that be the "White Lace and Promises" that Eva Clifton owned sooo many years
ago? Just curious.

There was a Saddlebred mare that was shown western by Shari Eades (then trained by Sarah Marcy Andres) named White Lace & Promises. Could that be her? Also, I sure do remember Big Bend Bellringer. He was by Applevale Storm King (I'm pretty sure) and he was a big winner for Doris Norton's Big Bend Farm in Monticello, WI. Doris had him with Scott Matton at Knollwood Farm and he was the horse in the famous "elephant costume" where Scott was dressed in as a Ballerina at the Wisconsin Futurity Show....oh probably about 24-25 years ago! He would have had to be about 29 years old by now.

Yes, it is that White Lace & Promises.

And Bellringer was 30 years old this year :)
