2009 ASHAV Annual Convention

The 2009 ASHAV convention will be held in conjunction with the UPHA Chapter 18 Spring Riding Clinic March 13-15, 2009. Along with the annual business meeting, high points award brunch, and Hall of Fame presentation, many exciting events are planned including a Horseless Horse Show, Womanless Beauty Contest, and more. The convention was fabulous! Carol Reedy and the volunteers who helped her organize this convention did a really great job. The kids loved the Horseless Horse Show, and judge Julie Tucei did a great job judging. She took the time to talk to the kids to tell them what they could do to better their placings the next time they showed. The Hall of Fame awards dinner was nice, and the Womanless Beauty Pageant was a riot!

It was so nice to see Susan (roadpony) again, and spend a teeny bit of time chatting. I FINALLY got to meet Chester too - what a sweetie! :)

I had a great time visiting with old and new friends from VA... whom I don't get to see all that often now that I live "south of the border."

So nice to see the "new" jenimomof3! :thumbup1:

I didn't have a chance to peek in on Melissa's clinic but was impressed to hear that there were 53 riders/participants over the two days.

The beauty contestants were ... ummmm... amazing. :001_rolleyes:
