I have never been to a Saddlebred show, I know I'm an idiot, but I am getting more involved with Saddlebreds. Can I show my National Show Horse at Saddlebred shows? He is a Hunter pleasure (I'm sure that dosen't help) but is very good at it.
I've thought about registering him as a half Saddlebred but didn't know if there were any classes for them either?
Please let me know! Thanks!

If there is an open breed class, then you could show in that. Otherwise, I'm afraid not.
I've never seen a 1/2 ASB class.

You can show in the open classes. My trainer has one at his barn that goes to all the shows and has done very well in the open classes!

There are always open classes at the shows I attend. Do it and have fun:yes: Do you enter 1/2 arab classes?

Just to clarify, for someone who has never been to an ASB show and may not be familiar with our terminology...
When these kind folks are referring to "open" they mean Open to All Breeds... not "open" as in an Open (ASB restricted) class like Park or Park Pleasure...

The Arab shows have a lot of classes for Half-Arabians and some shows have NSH classes. Are there many Arab shows in or around Shelbyville? I'm moving into the heart of Saddlebred country!!!
Do they have many open classes for Hunter pleasure? Thanks everyone!

If you go there, the listing, so far, of arabian shows in Kentucky (Region 14) will be posted. They usually add more as it gets closer to show season.

If your horse can do Country Pleasure, you could show in the Kentucky Horse Council Natural Pleasure class. It requires a "saddlebred type" horse.
