Some of you may remember Sebastian, a horse tentatively IDed by trot.org-ers as Innamorata Supreme. Sebastian was rescued by a trot.org member and rehabbed. Apparently, he was then placed with someone who was supposed to be his forever home. However, this person decided to sell him. When Sebastian came into our lives, we found an ad listing him online for a small amount of money. We brought him home, and he was in very poor shape once again. "Sabby" gained weight and turned into a wonderful riding horse. He was purchased for the express purpose to be my fiancee's horse. He gave us several wonderful years-- he loved to run and play with his field buddies, and he was always the first horse to come up to people. He had a huge trot that matched his huge heart. My sister and I frequently rode him and her non-SB trail horse in the nearby city park. Sebastian was wonderful for lunging lessons and practice riding. Sabby loved to trot as fast as a roadster, and he expected his rider to enjoy this speed as much as he did. He was my mother's favorite steed, and he taught Travis (my fiancee) lots of horsey lessons. We will forever be grateful to him.

When we came home on Tuesday, Sebastian was down in his field. After we spent nearly 13 hours with him fighting the colic, we sent Sebastian home early Christmas Eve morning. Here's to you Sabby- We love and miss you very much.

What a wonderful friend he was. We should all be as lucky to have such a wonderful horse in our own lives.

you were the best old man ever. =[
no saddle/bridle/or ever halter needed to ride you.

I miss you so much :(

I am so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful boy Sebastian was! Thank you for giving him a home and love in his last days. I am sure that he is now trotting his way across heaven with all the great ones.

I remember the first day I saw you--standing in that dusty, barren field, the only green to be seen was a collection of weeds. You were huge and SKINNY. I had been warned you were skinny, but I had no idea you were just skin stretched over bones. We wondered if you even had the strength to make the 6 hr ride home. But ride you did, and EAT! Once you stuck your nose in the hay we didn't see your face again for weeks.

You became my trusty steed-caryying me over the pastures and trails here at home. You took an 48 year old woman and let me be a 10 year old girl again. Thank you.

In your honor, we will always have a rescue horse on my farm.

He had to go so he could be an angel for someone else:sad: he knew he was weak even though you took such good care of him.

He did not want to leave but since it was Christmas time he gave the ultimate gift for another .

May you rest in peace Sebastian:sad:

I am so sorry for your loss but BLESS YOU FOR CARING
