I have looked and looked- does anyone know of a list or any practice shows held during the off season? I am in NE KY so Lexington, up to Cinci OH, WV are all pretty close. I grew up showing but in FL and don't know much about this area. We are getting back into it and horses and kids could use some practice. Any help appreciated!

The Winter tournaments are held at Shelbyville Fairgrounds and Frankfort Lakeside Arena, depending on the group. They are sponsored by various barns, and are invitational. I don't know who you could call, but I'm sure that others on trot would have contact information.

http://www.lakesidearena.com/ This has the schedule for the shows at Lakeside in Versailles with contact info for the different shows. I'm not sure where to find out about the Shelbyville shows. The winter tournaments with Mary Mac and I think Julie are the ASB shows.

I know that Shadow Run Farm attends these tournaments, so you may be able to call the Becker's or Stephanie Sedlacko at the farm to find out info. Steph is at the Royal right now, but Nancy and Bill did not go.

There are also a series of 5 UPHA tournaments in the Indianapolis area for beginning, intermediate and advanced riders, including open pleasure and equitation classes. Indy is 2 hours from Cincinnati if you are in northern KY. Contact Caroline Boyer (pm me for info).
The first one was last weekend, the next shows take place at Laurelwood on December 13, January 17, February 21. March 21-22 is the last one and is part of the IASHA Spring Warm-Up in Cloverdale. The highpoint awards will also be presented at the Spring Warm-Up.

Thanks. I knew about the ones at Lakeside Arena. Indianapolis is a long haul for us.
