Wing Tempo is the current highest mileage holder of the NATRC.
Although it is likely that Elmer Bandit will exceed this record, it has taken him nearly an extra 10 years to do so.

It makes you wonder if an Amish owned Saddlebred ...or several of them have also beat this record...:oops:

Few of the Amish horses 'retire sound'. Nor do they live to be 32 -with the Amish.

CTRs are tests of horsemanship and care as well as horse soundness and manners. Think of a managed trail ride, not a race.

Not really in the same discussion, in my opinion, but the mileage on some of the Amish horses gets pretty high, I'm sure.

He still looks very beautiful. One other thing I have always noticed about Saddlebreds is that they seem to age well.
