Howdy,
Been lurking for a while now and thought I would introduce myself and my saddlebred. My name is Nicolle and his is Captain. I live in Portland Oregon and he lives across the river in Washington. We have shown twice Saddlebred - country pleasure hunter and western, but mostly we show Pinto.
I showed him lightly as a 4 and 5 year old but this year we are going full out. We even went to Pinto Worlds this year and came home with a World Champion title in Open Western Pleasure and a Reserve Championship in Amateur English Pleasure. We had 6 top 5's including Am Dressage, Am Show Hack and Costume and 6 top ten's including Western Horsemanship and Open Show Hack. Who says Saddlebreds can't do it all?
At our last show just for fun I entered him in the gaming classes. It took him a little bit to figure it out but by the fourth game he did and we ended up getting a first in Keyhole race :)
My plan is to finish off this year and then take a break from the Pinto shows and start him over some fences and keep working with dressage. If he does well maybe we'll start some eventing :)
Did I mention that he is also a great trail horse and loves going to the mountains or the beach?
I've attached a pic or two :)

Hy Socks Victorious (ASB)
Hy Society Victor (Pinto)
