Just lost my super sweet yearling colt by I'm The Prince. He is my avatar. He was acting sluggish the other day but was grazing fine and drinking water. I went to check on him and he had died. Although he probably would not have gone on to be a great show horse, he was really pretty and really sweet. I am going to miss him greatly!! I hate, hate, hate losing horses. I know it is all something we go through if you are in the industry but it hurts the same each time it happens. It never gets easier. It just makes you want to quit! I really need some words of encouragment and some prayers!!

Great show horse or not, he was yours, and one of ours. Hugs to you.

I'm sorry for your loss as well. It took me almost 15 years to get another horse after I lost one that I loved so much but I hope you can find it within yourself to get another as soon as you're able. You'll always dearly love and miss the one that just passed away, but it sounds like you have enough love to give another.

I am sorry for your loss. Not that this makes things right, but Bit has always been beyond fair to me. Have you talked to her? I am guessing she would help you out.

Thank you for your kind words. I keep thinking that I should have seen a sign or something. Those that know me well, know how picky I am about my horses. It just kills me! I didn't even think about talking with Bit, thanks for the advise, she was wonderful to deal with when we bred the mare to I'm the Prince.

Oh Beth, I'm so, so, sorry to hear about your loss. I know your family is deeply saddened and know you're probably being way too hard on yourself, too. Do you have any idea what happened to him? I know you had such high hopes and plans for this baby. Hang in there and know we're thinking of you.
