What do you think of King's Black Ace as a stallion, and as a sire? Anyone have foals by him in training or that have been shown?

I knew a couple King's Black Ace horses several years ago. Both were 2-3 years old and earned nice ribbons in young horse classes (small numbers) in the Northeast before they were sold. Both were pretty and GREAT thinkers.

I know a 4 year old by him that is big, quite pretty, and talented. Nice set of ears. And a great thinker.

...it's nice to see ALL his get. He seems to sire nice horses with trainable temperaments.

a Very pretty stallion. And of course his Daddy sired Wild Eyed and Wicked... he probably would do well with a hot and talented mare.

i personally like King's Black Ace as a sire, as I have seen some nice horses by him, but i don't have any babies by him.

Two years ago, I saw a GORGEOUS, BIG, jet black mare by him at Steve Wheeler's barn. She was STUNNING. HUGE, TONS of motion, and she looked really sensible when we watched Steve work her. She took our breath away. I don't remember her name, but she had tons of talent.

The horse you saw at Steve's barn was Sassy Dawn! She is my horse and I showed her in Jr. Park Pleasure last year. This year I'm showing her in Show Pleasure and our first show is River Ridge. Thanks for saying such good things about her!

I know this horse very well. He was my practice horse for 1 1/2 years. Very well mannered in and out of the stall. Knows dressage. A blast to ride, very balanced moving with just a keg shoe on - showed level to above level motion. Smart, good thinking and sensible. Very powerful hind end. Lofty moving and could cover the ground at the trot. I rode him most of the time with a mule bit snaffle. The people who owned him had just started breeding him when I was riding him in 97/98...I only saw a few foals by him.

He's sired some show horses. How is your mare bred?
