Trot members are discussing whether the state of the economy is having an effect on their decisions to breed this season. Viewpoints differed – some were continuing as usual, others have scaled way back because they have not been able to sell the stock they bred previously.
It has really become a delicate balance between producing horses to carry on the breed that we love, and finding homes for the oversupply. It’s an issue with many aspects to consider and no simple answers. You can view this discussion here, and if you haven’t already please add your thoughts.
